Our main aims are to help our children to become motivated, have a positive attitude and be confident enough to experience new challenges whilst possessing a good range of personal skills to help them access the curriculum and realise their potential. St John’s has very close links with our church and its members. We utilise the Christian values as a core strategy in our improvements.
Vision Statement
At St. John's we trust in God and depend on Him to make the right choices. We show perseverance and achieve great things; accepting others, being kind, truthful and honest. We seek forgiveness just as God forgives us.

Collaborative Learning
St. John’s works with 17 primary schools and one special school in the WOWS Learning Network benefitting from shared resources, purchasing power, training and learning events which enhance and enrich achievement and attainment for all in the community.
Extended School
St. John’s has an extensive range of extra curricular clubs and activities available to pupils of which we are very proud. These are based mostly around the arts and sports and are generally well attended.
Parents
We have strong links with our parents and carers at school. Daily face to face contact between families and teachers / TAs / SLT fosters an atmosphere for strong links and aids two way communication which helps to reduce barriers to learning.
Achievement of Pupils
The achievement of the vast majority of pupils is good, reflecting consistently greater than expected pupil progress across the whole school resulting in good attainment at the end of Key Stage 2. Attainment overall of pupils at KS2 is good as the large majority of KS2 achieve or exceed National Expectations.
